This is a quick post, bit longer than a tweet.
The Print Show is at the NEC Sept 18 - 20. I will be going and found out in preparing that the IPEX show has now been closed down. See previous posts for concerns about this after the event in 2018 which competed with the Print Show.
I am looking for any links or comments. More next week.
First impression is that this looks much more like a digital show. There was still some litho at IPEX. At Telford there was a small stand from MAN Roland for conversation purposes. There may be a fringe event somewhere in the NEC. But mostly this looks like a digital show with reasonable awareness of the Cloud as production flow, and social media as part of a marketing mix.
Still not sure what to call it, omnichannel? cross media? more next week. Will check Adobe, they often start new words.
Also will look for clues on those not at the NEC. Kodak for example. Full disclosure, at the Prosper launch they gave away a Zi8 camera, even to the bloggers. This seems like a long time ago.
Starting with IPEX 2002, this blog covers events relevant for UK print, including Seybold and DRUPA. See also website at www.atford.co.uk
